1909 DDR-012 EDS, Stage A http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...9PDDR012.htm

Another unattributed pick from a couple of weekends ago.
This is the second of this one I have found and it is in much better condition and an Earlier Die State and stage than the first one.
The class 6 thickness is pretty strong around all the outer devices. Even the bottoms of ERICA are thick.
One of the markers I was able to match was the die scratch coming SSW off the base of the I (AMERICA).

Great find! But this is posted in the wrong forum- it should be Classic variety and errors, not modern.

CherryPicker2: The modern forum is for all Lincoln cents.

Petespockets55: Sorry,I did not comment on your coin earlier. It is a super coin. How did you acquire it?

Thanks Everyone. Haven't come across one this nice before.
Dr. Don. I was a little confused at first but I took CP to mean this is a "classic" DDO (tongue in cheek), especially when the mods didn't relocate it. Numismatic humor is a good thing.
Got this one on ebay. I got the first one (well circulated) searching wheat rolls a couple of years ago.

I get it now. I was at work when I read it earlier. Kinda hard to find humor in anything when you are grinding 100 pound hunks of steel .

I hear ya.
What are you turning those hunks of steel into? Statues, counter weights, buildings?

And you can guess who you beat out to get this one... Tis a dandy coin and was wondering if I'd see it posted here. Great addition to your collection.
