Hi all...i was searching a roll of 2019 w quarters that I have and I ran into this. At first I thought it was from a roller but after looking closer, the line seems to be raised and its under the letters. It goes all the way through mariana island and half way through park. Any ideas as to what this is?

Someone told me that the letters on the reverse are indented and not raised? Ive searched google to confirm but cant find anything on it. Could this be a roller mark and the letters indented?

I think the word you're looking for is incuse, not indented.

So surface contact on those areas will show above the incuse letters. (On the surface) Very common to see this from coin contact with machines. Possible coin counter damage or vending machine damage. Not a mint error. We will be seeing this for the next several years until they change the reverse design with the reverses they used in the past with the raised devices again.
