I was sorting out the better 09 VDB from a group, and noticed what appears as doubling on the date and liberty. It looks like the FS# 1-012.1 new designation`FS# 01-1909-1102. I can get photos of individual letters of liberty if closer ones are needed.

Thanks
Jim

This is a situation where there is too much detail, too close:-) Can you post a picture that is as beautifully focused as these of just the date.

Thanks,
Bill

Not a doubled die, but a nice looking coin from what I can see.

Thanks for the look1

I wasn't too certain about the diagnostics for the die, as most I have seen in
photos were lower grades. The lines on the first nine and the zero were somewhat
confusing the issue. It is the best 09VDB I have out of a group of ten of an "original" roll
that I purchased in 1984. Most of them developed spots and other problems along the
way. I do enjoy your book and website.

Thanks

Jim

Thank for the picture of the entire date. I don't think it is a doubled die either.

Thanks,
Bill

I'm glad some Lincoln experts commented. I saw the pics but was unsure what to look for here.
Very clean 09 VDB!
