http://www.allegro.pl/item426210507..._322_yy.htmlSee here. Just found another weird coin, and since I like it and know nothing about it, it's more than possible that it's a counterfeit. What do you think? Fake? This seller has several of these. What is more Krause puts the higest grade as VF. Now these look too good, don't they? Edited by DL20K 08/31/2008 3:28 pm

That's a beautiful coin, if it's authentic At first glance, it does look struck--which rules out the typical pressure-cast fake. I know nothing about this coin, but unless it's valuable...why would a die be tooled? Any experts here? 1 Zloty current bid? Sounds like a bargain to so far--if real. I hope you luck out!

$20 in VF in 15-year-old Krause. That's the fact that makes me suspicious. Also, the fact that the 10 of them look almost exactly the same.

I dont know a thing about the series, but the coin looks too good to be true at first glance.

I'm far from an expert, but....
Krause lists these as Hammered, so there should be considerable variation across multiple coins. In looking at these coins I see differences in strength of strike, centering and some variations in detail.
Looking at some of the other types of coins listed, I see nothing that screams fake.
I would guess that it is authentic. Current KM prices 20VF, 35XF.

I believe it is Ghirardelli or possibly Godiva.

It is authentic... There are only a veeery small amount of counterfeited hammered coinage from india. All the other counterfeits are cast copies of Early 1900's with the usual goddess/god on the obverse.

Quote: It is authentic If they're "dirt cheap" as we say here--buy a few and perhaps I can trade a US coin for one?
