Was given these by a relative who does not remember how they obtained them so they have no idea where they are from or how old they are.

Front and Back of 1st pair since they look similar to me.

Aren't the first ones from Egypt and the second one from Ethiopia?

Indeed: the first coins are a 10 milliemes and a 5 milliemes from Egypt with the effigy of king Farouk. They are dated 1941 (round copper-nickel coin = 10 milliemes) and 1943 (scalloped bronze coin = 5 milliemes)

The second picture is a nickel 25 matonas from Ethiopia with the effigy of emperor Haile Selassie. This coin is dated 1923 Ethiopian Era, which is 1930 AD.

The coin on the third picture is an Ottoman Egyptian coin of 10 qirsh (0.833 silver), struck in the name of sultan Mohammed V. Depicted is the ascession date 1327AH and reign year 6. This dates your coin as being struck in 1332 AH or 1914 AD. This coin was struck at the Heaton Mint in Birmingham.

Hi...many thanks for the quick replies.

For the Ottoman Egyptian coin, I have another one like it but it is more worn. So I don't know if I can get a good picture of it. How do you tell the date?

On the coin you show, you can see on the reverse (side with 3 stars at top) the ascension year 1327 in Arabic numbers. This is the year following the lunar Arabic era, which is equal to our year 1909. On top, just beneath the 3 stars, you can see the Arabic number 6, meaning the 6th regnal year. So: 1909 is the first year of reign, 1910 the second, 1911 the third, 1914 the sixth.

On the obverse, the side with the toughra (= calligraphy of the sultan's name), you'll find the denomination (= 10 qirsh or piastres).
At the bottom, next to the rim, you can see a small H-mintmark, the mintmark of the Heaton Mint.
