I've had this one for a while, sent it in and paid for the variety. It came back just a 1930 D, no rpm. The only way I have to verify this coin is http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20...0DRPM002.htmHere's some pics. There's less than ten of these graded and I think that may be why they didn't attribute it? There's no die markers either. I'm almost positive that it is the variety but do you guys agree? Should I email them or try to send it back? I'll be gone for a few days so I won't be able to respond to this but any help is greatly appreciated!

I think you have it. Something else interesting going on, it looks as if the 9 is a little thicker than normal with what looks like a split serif at the bottom of the 9. There are no DDO's for Denver that year but it is interesting.

Hello Willburton. https://www.PCGS.com/varietyfaqOn PCGS website, it states they attribute Quote:#9702;Fivaz-Stanton Varieties from the CherryPickers Guide, Fourth Edition Vol. II and Fifth Edition Vol. I . I don't have a CherryPickers' Guide Fourth Edition but I do have a Sixth Edition where it is listed. May be they are still using the Forth Edition and is it listed there? Call them up ! We pay good money for their service I have had great service from their front desk.

I think that's correct as well. Nice close-up.

Hey thanks Frog, Jim and level! I got the true view also, so it should be obvious. I only have a couple of the cherrypickers and it's not in mine. I'll call when I get back and let you guys know!

It looks like it matches to me. Also matches here: http://www.doubleddie.com/935255.htmlIf they didn't attribute it or give any reasoning to why it isn't the RPM, either the submission form wasn't filled out correctly or they somehow missed it on the form. I would contact them, you'll probably have to send it back. TPGs are always hit or miss when it comes to attributing varieties. I've had similar issues from NGC as well.

That's ridiculous! That mistake shouldn't even happen. You do indeed have the RPM. Call them up and call them out on their mistake politely.

I called them and they just emailed me back, saying they are positive that it is not the fs-502? Very frustrating. Not sure where to go from here?

Willburton, gheez! I can't believe they're saying that, when it clearly is that RPM! Not sure what to do here.

That is absurd! There is no way that this can be dismissed this easily. Did you by change email them the closeup pic of the mintmark you posted for us to see? If you did then it's apparent they are too embarrassed to admit they made the mistake. Resubmitting may prove fruitless. Contact NCG? Attach the same closeup pic and ask their advice?

I basically said what you said in an email Jim. I sent them that same close up with a pic from cherrypickers. I then said "I spent over $100 getting this coin authenticated and you're saying I have to send it to another company to get it done correctly. I'm waiting on their response.

I am really looking forward to their reply. I hate you're dealing with this, I can imagine the frustration.

They said I can send it back but he wouldn't recommend it. I think it's because there aren't any die markers. I have a NGC membership as well so maybe I will try them.

I think the Doubleddie.com info might be wrong. Quote: 1930-D 1¢ WRPM-002 "Best Of" Variety Quote: Cross References: CONECA: RPM #2, Coppercoins: 1930D-1MM-002, Cherrypickers: FS-01-1930D-501 (013.7) Shouldn't this cross ref to FS-502? Or am I missing something? EDIT: This should be more of an FYI to the subject.
