Pretty jacked up coin, but I thought it would be interesting to show my very first "official" error coin that I have come to possess.

I don't believe it has too much value, as the coin is banged up some, but, if it does, please let me know.

I believe that these die breaks aren't rare, but I honestly have no idea, thank you!

@agcents, that looks more like a lam than a die crack to me.

Nice find! That is actually a lamination error, but still a neat find! I believe they are caused by contaminants in the planchet/metal that separates the metal on the surface. Congrats!

Oh cool! That's good news! Not for sure which one is more rare but oh well.

Any premium? I'm guessing no, but might as well ask!

It's a lamination for sure! Good eye.

On a coin like this, I don't think there would be a premium. Larger lamination errors command a larger premium. Laminations, why they are not "common", are some of the most commonly found errors, because they can be very small and are not specific to the dies. Regardless, it's a legitimate error! Congrats.

Oh cool, wait, is it both a Die Break( Cud) and a Lamination error? And if so, is that rare for two of those to occur at once?

SilverCents, no, you don't have a Cud. You have a Lamination error only.
