@VB, it is a little hard for me to tell from the pics--you have an overall and multiple nice close-ups, but I'm having trouble seeing where the close-ups fit in with the whole coin. My initial impression is that this is just damage rather than being a mint error, but would welcome additional clarification from you.

First two pictures are of Washington's hairline.
Additional close up pictures would help, but not too close.

Thank you Spence I'm new so I'm still learning the ins and outs of posting. The main set of cracks are in the hairto the northwest of the ear. It's hard to get pictures with the shine of the coin and lighting. It looks like a line of gashed but with almost a mesh look inside the damage. I thought maybe fabric strike through but it's sporadic and there are a lot of die cracks on the coin. I'll try to get better pictures. Thank you for your help.

It's hard to get the orientation of where it's at with the detail of what it looks like in those cracks. It's like if you busted open concrete and rebar was inside.

Wow man what are you using an electron microscope? Looks like bag marks to me, like the edges of a few coins slightly scratched it a couple different directions. I'm doubting fabric, it would be near microscopic.
