I have this jital coin and just cannot identify the characters to find out which period belongs to. Can anyone give me a clue?

Any inscription other than 'Samanta Deva' which might help to narrow the attribution is missing. About the best that can be said with certainty is "post-Shahi" c. 11th-12th century.
