Hello - I could use an experts' advise please.

It seems very unlikely that I have a 1964 SMS proof set, but I have not been able to find anything in my research (yet) that leads me to believe this is not the real thing. I've posted some pictures that I would appreciate you looking at and would be more than happy to zoom in and send additional pictures of any of the coins details. I hope an expert can tell me what I really have here and what to look for.

Thank you in advance for your help.

to the Community! It looks as if the coins are in an aftermarket holder. To be sure of what you have, clear closeup pics of the coins are needed.

Not a SMS set, just coins placed in an aftermarket holder.

SMS coins don't have mint marks. the cent, nickel and quarter, even at this distance of picture have a "D" so they aren't SMS. I would assume with closer pictures of each coin they all will have a "D" mint mark. yeah, took a 2nd look, and I can see them on the half and dime also.

Definitely not an SMS, and while SMS 1964's exist, it's been literally a dozen examples ever turning up, the chances of finding an entire set of 1964 SMS, in one, would be like being struck by lightning 57,000 times roughly. it's thought maybe 1-2 dozen examples of 1964 SMS of each denomination were struck as test specimens for the following year and somehow escaped destruction, probably blending in with P minted 1964s.... anywho, keep looking, you won't find it if you don't look!
