I finally managed to find my first Legit Double-Die, unless anyone thinks this could be something else entirely? The E is very apparently some sort of error. Its difficult to capture it 100% Correctly, but it appears to be thicker and the E is hardly legible. I believe its a very obvious double die, as it appears to continue on: - E-PLU RIBUS-U NUM- Also I noticed once I zoomed in and got a good picture, that part of the branch appears to have slight doubling. And there may be more, let me know! Please let me know what you think of this BEAUT! I am also curious as to what coins like these sell for, and how rare this particular one is. The coins overall condition is really good in my opinion. No deep scratches or visible marks. It's in better shape than I am, and we were both born the same year! Thanks for any help! - POINTS OF INTEREST - ![93-P-/-Roosevelt-Dime:-Multi-Double-Die-[finally!]](uploaded/ChristianSPR/20190623022518_02FC2D52-4DE1-45BE-A107-966EFDCF5FC8.jpg) - CLEAN COPY - ![93-P-/-Roosevelt-Dime:-Multi-Double-Die-[finally!]](uploaded/ChristianSPR/20190623022534_DF8D13FD-84D0-437C-869A-CFC3495B6B8C.jpg) - FRONT FACE - ![93-P-/-Roosevelt-Dime:-Multi-Double-Die-[finally!]](uploaded/ChristianSPR/20190623022547_B6A8C7FA-F4EA-4E1D-922E-E12C5D59BF5D.jpg) - ALTERNATIVE COPY (Better: "E") ![93-P-/-Roosevelt-Dime:-Multi-Double-Die-[finally!]](uploaded/ChristianSPR/20190623022558_0206CCAC-413F-4B83-A5FE-B25CFD0B14FB.jpg)

Looks like a VLDS die struck that coin. Variety Vista has very few DDOs on dimes after 1973.

I agree,it looks like a DDD not a true doubled die. John1

Just a Very Late Die State coin with heavy die flow and mushy devices. Not a true Doubled Die.
Errers and Varietys.

Thanks for everyones Opinion on the matter! I'm pretty new, so I'm curious: What's differences would this coin have that would convince someone its DDD/VDLS vs Double-Die? Also, can someone explain the state of the "E", as it protrudes much more than the rest of the letters, and has that odd shape?

After reading up a bit, I'm thinking that the "E" might be a Die-Break. Which if the rest is a Die Deterioration Doubling, makes sense as the older the die, the more likely it is to break? The Odd shape on the E is most definitely raised for the record.

Sorry for the 3rd Response and Question. I just noticed that a few of the Letters on the face appear to have some sort of Ghostly Doubling in "Liberty" as well. For instance the Horizontal portion of the L, the right leg and top of the R, and all Horizontal Portions of the "E". Would that also be thought caused by Die Deterioration Doubling? Seems more evident and smooth than the Obverse.

The odd shape of the "E" is just damage, its a well circulated coin. Good luck on future finds!

Im going to have to disagree with the "E" being damage. Its very apparently something else. But, maybe thats more apparent in person, I'm not sure...

The O and the E in ONE as well as the E in EPU look like they are high bounce MD'd.
