Hello everyone, my late father had these in with his coin collection. I have no idea why they were of particular interest to him. There are about 30 of them, appear to be clean crisp and uncirculated. Any idea why he kept them and are they valuable? Thank you all!

If they are free from any folds or handling marks and are uncirculated they would be worth from $3-$5 each on ebay.

A series 1977A $1 FRN (block A-D) is kinda ordinary, nothing special or significant.

Ok, well, explains why I couldn't find anything special about them. Thank you!

The Prime Directive here at CCF (or at least, one of them) is "collect what makes you happy". I would bet that's what your late father was doing with these notes. Personally I have a LOT of items in my collection that have little value to anyone but me.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss and I hope you have some nice memories as you go through his collection.

Thank you. I'm just getting into this hobby and found I'm partial to certain coins, I like wheat pennies and nickels. Love half dollars, because they remind me of my grandfather, he always had lots of them and gave them freely to kids everywhere we went. Of course I spent them as fast as I got them... unfortunately. But they always remind me of him...
