I see slight MD and a halo effect produced by remenents of luster in the prorected areas of the coin.

Very nice coin. Thanks for sharing, Coinflipper. Do you live in NL?

Looks like Machine Doubling to me.

Not sure what the halo effect is as I can't see it, or don't know what I'm looking for. I just googled 'halo effect' and I only see meanings that have to do with metal detecting. What do you mean by halo effect, GrapeCollects?

I don't think that it machine or Mechanical Doubling (MD). I think that it more Die Deterioration Doubling, but the 7 looks repunched, offset high.

It's both.
Double date is a condition not a cause.
It may be the result of Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration, double die, repunching, etc. etc.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Hey guys, thanks for your responses. The Deductible I have my in laws from NL. Been there twice and got a wedding now in the summer time! Looking forward to salmon fishing in the atlantic! Small town called Port Aux Basque. I will look around for any collectors while there.
