1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty Quarter / SLQ Grade?

I have next to no experience with grading SLQ's, but my guesstimate is that this coin would be AU and could make a full head designation. The way I'm taking pictures really doesn't show how things really look, but this is the best I've got. Do coins in less than uncirculated get designated as "Full Head", "Full Bell Lines", Full Split Bands" or "Full Steps" etc. ? No doubt this may have been a FH quarter when minted but, I have always thought that these special grade designations only applied to MS60 and up grades. It seems like it would be reasonable to grade this coin. And is it a full head? It's sitting in my 7070 but I was just curious if it should be in a slab instead. Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe my pictures just suck. To quote someone else's idea from a post in 2006, this thing looks like it could be a Full Nipple! For example, the line on her head is very defined in person, but it hardly looks defined in these pictures. But I also think she's happy and serving her purpose in the 7070.
