1966 quarters are extremely common, made of base metals and worth no more than face value unless in extremely excellent condition, even then on marginally above face value. I likely have a half dozen in my junk jar.

Welcome to the forum...your '66 is an old coin, 2nd year of the CN ply and it is well worn. So yes it is just worth face value but continue the hunt. Maybe you'll become a CRH and find some silver. Best of luck.
