If so, then it maybe a coin that was placed between two pieces of leather and put in a vise and altered the coin. Show it side by side with a normal nickel and see the sizes to see if they are normal? Report this Post to the Staff

On Jefferson's forehead, the edge of a reeded coin (like a quarter) created a cluster of dents. Otherwise, this nickel looks pretty normal to me.
