Ok, so I thought this 1968 nickel was in great condition for it's age, until looking at it with a magnifyer lol. Obviously every little scratch and ding stands out. Anyway, there's either damage or something else going on with the u s in pluribus. Your expertise please? Thanks &

Looks like a very slight Grease Fill, in that area. Not enough to carry any premium over face value.

Looks like a large tear drop shape starting on US and under UNUM down to the top of the building,I think Greaser?

To me it looks like a struck through debris on the coin during the strike. Looks like some of it has peeled and is now covering the 'U'/ But there could always be more than one event that can happen during a strike.
