I just posted a picture of my first RPM,1954D RPM #3. One of the markets was the die chip on the T in CENT, but then I noticed it's also a marker for 1954D DDO stage B. Could a coin have both an rpm and be a doubled die? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Yes it's possible but it would usually mention it if you're looking at a website/reference.

Like this 1927-D RPM, the DDO is pictured and mentioned in the die stages, on others it may be mentioned in the description.: http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20...7DRPM001.htm

If it doesn't mention it on the site, there are likely no other varieties on the coin. The T is a common place for die chips, there will be numerous different dies with similar chips.

It's possible, but it's not common though.

Thanks, I'll see if I can match any markers. Looks like Lincoln's eye would be a good place to zoom in on.

Would this be considered a triple eyelid?

Looks like a contact issue above the false eyelid. Note the incuse mark. Just a well placed hit.

I have seen that before.
All the extra eyelids are on the right side of the eye, above or below the eyelid.

There is one doubled eye:
1955D-1DO-001, DDO-001, FS-101, WDDO-001

1957-D has a DDO and a RPM on the same coin:
http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=eds
1957D-1DO-002 and 1957D-1MM-005

Quote:
A moderate spread to the north shows on BERTY of LIBERTY, and a CCW pivoted hub doubling shows on the motto from K-5. Obverse is also listed as 1957D-1MM-005.

Variety Vista:

DDO-002 and RPM-005,
doubleddie.com

WDDO-002, WRPM-005.
Wow the first time I've seen all three have the same numbers on the same coin for both the RPM and the DDO!

Die chips on the 'T' of cent are frequently used as markers for various varieties.

You can also find a few DDO / DDR varieties.

No dumb questions when asked in earnest.
