This weighs 6.27 grams and has a width of 23 mm.

The symbol suggests Jaipur, but I cannot find a match. Further, it is brass, and I think that it should be wither copper or silver, so possibly a fake?

Yes, you're right. Jaipur brass 2 anna, Man Singh II, RY 21, made in 1940s, KM 190.
