I can see a partial inscription: ludovicius XV and a few other bits and pieces, but Much to my surprise it does not match any pieces in my catalogues. It appears to be billon.
@tzdiema, Ithink that is it. It is terribly worn, which would account for the weight difference, and it just might be a funny toning which makes me think billon.
Liards typically range from 2.1-3.0g. The weight listed on Numista is at the high end. This 1720-BB liard on cgb is 2.4g.
Note that both the mint master's mark, a heart after "GRATIA" on the obverse and the engraver's mark, a six-pointed star after "REX" on the reverse also match with the cgb coin. So your coin must also be from the Strasbourg mint.
