Look at the ERTY in LIBERTY and the 20 in the date for minor DDOs.
Look at the Lincoln Statue and the two columns next to it for minor DDRs on memorial cents.
Look around the middle stripe on the shield and at the designers initials for minor DDRs on shield cents.
Some early 2000s DDRs have doubling or extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM and or the bottoms of the column bays.
There is a strong 2006 doubled ear and a few DDOs from 2002-2006 have some of the beard details doubled.
A few DDRs have doubling around some of the outer columns and one 2005 DDR has the design above the 5th column doubled.

I think the best ones to look for are:
2000 Wide AM
2004 DDR - Extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM
2006 DDO - Doubled Ear
2006 DDO - All lettering
2011 DDO - All lettering (Multiple strong ones)
2014 DDO - All lettering (Multiple, FS-101 is rare)
2015 DDO - All lettering (Multiple)

These are just the few of the big ones that you'll hear of and you'll easily spot.

The best way to gather information is to take the three sites and do one year each day. Look to see what doubled dies look like for both sides of the coin. Create your own informational page for each date. Include what doubled dies look like. Save a few image examples. After a few days you will start to note a pattern. The 2000-2003 have larger devices and other years. But take you time with it and let it settle in. Keep in mind that the examples you will be looking at going forward are from the single squeeze process. So the doubled dies will be on the inner parts of the designs. Save your images with specific information. The Variety Vista site, you can use their information on the addresses for the images. Coppercoins.com/ images are pretty specific but you need to know their formula to read the information
IE: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds
2000=(Date) d=(Denver mint) 1=Denomination DO or DR=(Doubled die Obverse or Reverse) 001=(Attribution number) &die_state=(The die state of the die that struck the coin) mds=(Mid-Die-State) Wexler uses numbers so put the date-mint-WDDO-XXX or WDDR-XXX for the doubled dies. You don't have to copy all of the images. Just the ones that shows what to look for. That way you can have a record and it will set it better in mind to see, rather than just read. Keep us posted on your progress. When you get to 50+ posts, then you can use the email process. Keep looking.

Apart from known errors, I usually put everything else in a pile/stack that looks suspicious(to me). Then after I'm done searching, I start researching the known sites for things. Can't find it, post it, if no good toss it back. It's tedious work, but also rewarding when you find your first good one. Looking at all the sites sure helps build a visual database to know what to look for initially. If not ask ;)
