Hi guys,

I found this weird penny recently with a lot of little bits on the front and back. They are clustered around Lincoln's profile, the date, and underneath the Lincoln Memorial. I was hoping someone could tell me what this error is called, and if there is any premium. Thanks!

That's not an error. That is called zinc rot, from the zinc core being exposed to air. PSD. Value is only face value.

Die deterioration, split plating and some Machine Doubling that split the plating. Very spendable.
