Hi everyone! I have this 1787 Connecticut copper which I believe to be a Miller 11.1 variety, but I would like to confirm. Do I have it right, or did I miss something? Thank for any help!

I believe you are correct on the 11.1 but that is only the obverse attribution. The reverse being E, it is a 11.1-E.

Thank you, lcutler. I did neglect to include the E in my post. I used my Colonial And Early American Coins book to try and identify the variety, but wasn't sure since the first star on the obverse, at the start of AUCTORI, did not quite match up. The points on my coin seem a bit wider from what the photo of the coin in the book shows. I appreciate the assistance!

Great details! A little VerdiCare might really make it pop.

Thank you!I was pleased to see the coin held up relatively well despite being in the ground for probably 200+ years. Most coppers I have dug up show much environmental damage.

I did try that product several years ago on a few 2-cent pieces. I may have to give it a try on some of my coppers.

From a conservation standpoint as well, I concur with edweather's suggestion.

Great find!
