RAlex Valued Member United States 57 Posts	Posted 07/05/2019 2:18 pm I have this coin with blisters/warts under mint mark, on date, chin, nose also in letters of liberty. some on reverse. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/05/2019 2:21 pm That is called split plating. When the zinc get air, it starts to rise on the split areas. Not a good thing. When I recently got active collecting I had around 8000 copper cents that I took back to the bank mostly to make room . I thought advertising them on ebay but didnt want to take the time.
