My bad I read your answer backwards

No worries, it probably would have been better to say it had been added to the bell system but I could be wrong. I vaguely remember the subject from high school but my 5 min refresher definitely is not a complete understanding of the subject.

In the spirit of being clear, while this coin COULD have been, at the first Super Bowl, it almost certainly wouldn't have been.

13/20 question asked

Had to edit an answer I apologize for any confusion, the NANP was only officially accepted in 1947

Sounds like it may not be a circulation coin. If it was, then it "more than" COULD have been at the game.

Thanks for the hint Gin.

I'm adding, and correct me if I seem naive, my US coin knowledge is growing, but still needs work.

Its not a cent from the beard question.

I don't know who the Virginia native is. Jefferson? This should eliminate 1 coin denomination.

Lets save the mint mark for the guesses, and get the denomination 1st.

I agree @keith12. That would a very sneaky move indeed and absolutely appropriate for this game.

Can you see the Pacific Ocean from the mint where this coin was made?

From the mint its self? I don't think so. From some of the taller buildings around it you probably could.
