could be looking for an earlier queen..

Are we sure it's a Queen, not a King. Liz was out with the date. It became her throne (no not porcelain you jokers) in 1952.

A question on longitude might help out on Joecoins list (above) but what would be the best line # to eliminate the majority...

I don't find any monarchs during the time frame that were hung or beheaded. Though there were a few that might maybe should have been.

That clue wasn't designed to have as much info in it as you guys are going after (sorry!). Stick with royal, forget about pain in the neck, and move on.

And ... I always thought of myself as a "morning person," but wow, some of you get up early.

While she remains a spry sovereign at the age of 93, she at least does not need to worry about affairs here.

This is telling me it must be from India along with the British Empire answer. India was only a colony until 1948, so Liz would not have to worry about affairs there.

What do you think team? We got this, we don't need 30 questions. .

So we have:

Edward 7th, 22 January 1901- 6 May 1910
George 5th, 6 May 1910-20 January 1936
Edward , 20 January 1936-11 December 1936
George 6th, 11 December 1936-6 February 1952

And we know it is from a former colony, since the current monarch does not reign there, although she may have before it became independent.

So we need to look for former colonies (duh). Perhaps its is time to carve up the globe.

While I am also leaning towards India, what's to stop it from being any other former colony that achieved independence?

The earlier question regarding the present queen asked if she was the CURRENT monarch of the colony. So that only eliminates any current colonies (they call them overseas dependencies now).

King Edward who was King in 36-36, Canada never made a coin with his image. Would this apply to all the other colonies?

Is the coin from the King George V reign?
