well, we could narrow it down by asking if the princely state was worthy of a gun salute? Although I'd guess that if they struck their own coins they would be worthy of a gun salute. If you had a list of those maybe, or we could try splitting India into regions, coastal, Himalayan ect. |

1. This coin was minted somewhere between 1869 to 1908 using the Gregorian calendar and oddly enough the date listed on the coin is not because it is 57 years later.
2. This coin was issued for use in one of the Indian Princely States, but not Indore.
3. This coin isn't silver.
4. This coin is in numista.
5. 17/21 questions used.

With only four questions left and needing to determine the state, year and denomination, I feel that only help from Spence and/or lucky guesses will work.
Is the issuing Princely State's currency based on the rupee?

Who said we need to know the state. The specific state may have an effect on what denominations are possible and what years they were minted. That's why I asked the last question. Now excluded is the state of Kutch (at least) because their monetary system is based on the kori, not the rupee. Since the coin is based on the rupee (but is not a rupee), there are available subdivisions: anna, paise, pies, etc. It's still a guess.   Edit: Quote:
