So I just recently (3 days ago) started collecting and looking for any mint errors. I came across these pennies in my stacks. Pretty sure they aren't of any value, if they are, let me know. But I'm curious as to what causes this. There are several images attached

Thank you very much. I realized that after posting. I'm still learning to navigate this forum. I'll be more careful next time.

@kk, first welcome to CCF. Second, your first Two Cents may have been struck with a slightly mis-aligned die, but the last two are just showing post strike damage. Can you please post pics of the other side of the first two to this thread? Thx.

Here are the reverse sides as requested. Look normal to me. But then again, newbie here. I decided to take cell phone pics instead of the camera on the reverse side. Hope this helps with your decision bud. The first picture is the 1977 and then the 1978

The 2016 has been placed between two other coins and probably as a construction site, put between two 2X4 and hit with a large hammer. Note the rings you are seeing is from the edges of the other two coins. They were trying to alter the coin. If they had used a vise, then you would see mirrored letters appear.

But they only hit is hard enough to leave the rings from the two other coins.

Ok thx. Both the '77 and the '78 are slight MADs, but I don't think that the offset was enough to really increase the value. You could save the '77 until a better example comes along though.
