I found this in a Loomis roll last night. The E in ONE caught my eye so I took a closer look. It definitely looks like there's some Machine Doubling going on and it doesn't match the one DDR listed on Variety Vista, so I haven't gotten my hopes up. It does look to me like there's some notching, though, so I figure I should let the experts have a look before discounting it.

Mmmhm, looks like (slight) legitimate doubling to me...Have you checked Wexler's?

I agree with slight Machine Doubling. Note on the bottom of the cross bar on the 'T' on United. I can see the MD there also. The slight movement may have damaged the bottom of the 'T'.

I know that MD can notch sometimes, so if it's unlisted, I would be more inclined to go with MD.

Note on the 'E' on ONE. That area is reduced in size. It if were a doubled die, then it would be enlarged, not reduced.

I agree with Coop. It's Machine Doubling.

Thanks, I'll trust you on that.
Just for my own education, how does Machine Doubling cause notching in the letters? I'm particularly looking at the Es.
