She wants to give it to my wife and I to sell and split with my sister-in-law who lives in another province. Is Canada Gold a reputable place to sell this at? What about one of the big banks like RBC? Is there anything I need to bring to sell it like an original purchase receipt or some other chain of custody document? If I sell it all do I need to claim it on my taxes? Is there anyway to legally ship half of it to my sister-in-law? Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

Do NOT take it to a bank or one of the traveling "Roadshow-type" shows that show up for weekends in most every town. You will not get anything even near an honest price.
