That could be @rh1--initially it looks like a massive delam. Any chance of you posting pics of this coin outside of the 2x2? Thx.

Added: Sorry just to be clear, if it is a lam, then the planchet was defective (as opposed to the die as you mention the thread's title).

What's the proper weight for this coin? When I took it out of the 2×2 I was surprised how thin and light it felt.

That is a major delamination with the delamination occurring post strike. Unfortunately the coin has also suffered serious damage as well post strike.
