Identify Help: Greek Ae20, Bearded Bust Right, Figure Standing Right On REV

paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 07/15/2019 10:39 pm I don't have many Greek coins or know very much about them so I bid on this as a lark and won it. My preliminary guess would be possibly from Thessaly but I cannot find a match after 3+ hours of searching AE20's with bearded bust right. Size is AE20 (20.4), a chunky 7.15 grams. Patina. Obverse features a bearded bust facing right. Reverse features a draped and helmeted figure standing and facing right, the right arm upraised in a throwing or hurling position. Zeus? Artemis? Apollo? No discernible lettering or legends on either side. I'm sure this is probably both easy and relatively common but I do not have the requisite experience to make any sort of a reliable attribution! I will now head off to search Macedonian listings! Edit: I wonder if this is Philip V and not Demetrios I.
