It does tend to darken some coppers a bit, but it doesn't affect any areas were the underlying shinier metal has been exposed, as when a coin has been scratched. I've had mostly good results using the conditioner. I recently started using Conserv on wheat cents with some fair results. Report this Post to the Staff
