This coin recently sold on ebay. The toning of the coin is a little strange. I'm not sure if this is natural or if it was cleaned with something. What would you grade it?

ef 40- au 55, way, way too many bag and rim marks, this coin either rattled around in the bag for a long time, or in someone's pocket with their keys..

I'd say AU-55, same thoughts.

It's a '48 which is pretty nice but, don't like the digs dings and such, EF or a bit better.

Saw this sell on ebay as well @Cdncoins. All of the coins the seller sold had similar appearances. He had a 1937 1938 1945 1946 1948 53 nsf & 54 short water line. I was able to acquire the last two. His 1938 sold for $117.50 which looked double HP and reasonably an AU50-AU55. This 48 looks to have been previously cleaned and fair to say XF45.

The obverse legend doesn't look right. Especially the 'GEORGIVS VI' part. The denticles on both sides are also suspicious looking.
