Hi gang,
It seems to me that this Mint Mark is dropped pretty low from the date as normal.
I have imaged a normal strike from PCGS and the ones I took.

Does this bring any extra value?

Please comment.

Mint marks were hand punched on each working die till 1990,so placement will vary. Yours is low and I would keep it in a 2x2,but it is not an error and has little if any premium.

Cool find though! Maybe some day people will start collecting oddballs like this one. If I found one I would certainly keep it just for the novelty of it.

For more of this, check out 1969-D cents. Their mintmark location varies more than any other date.

That's about out-of-whack as the '75D. I think part

of it's allure & subsequent listing, is that it was brought

to attention by the 'big boys' of the error world.
