I came across this 1988 Lincoln Cent with doubling on the reverse and some damage on the obverse of the coin and my question is will this coin sell for anything?

Just Machine Doubling. Worth what it says on the reverse. These are not doubled dies.

First welcome to CCF. Second, @coop is right--that is Machine Doubling and does not affect the value of the coin.

If you have Machine Doubling on a coin that you send in for grading, they do not recognize it. They just list it as a normal coin. Over 130 people found that out on PCGS when they thought they found the big doubled die. But it was Machine Doubling. So people spend a lot of money to be told they have a normal coin. We do that free here.

Just Machine Doubling, very common I'm afraid. As coop says, save your money and check here first.
