Nice coin, with some interesting features. Generally, 1918 Philadelphia coins are decently struck. This one is an average strike, from late middle die state obverse and reverse dies. It's nice to see an evenly matched die pair.
Your coin has typical die polishing marks where the common clashes occurred. The "comb" clash from EPU beneath the Indian's chin has been removed, The second feather is weak, where the clash from the boffalo's head was removed. LIBERTY is slightly weak from the clash with the buffalo's rear right leg. On the reverse, the chin line clash in EPU is only barely visible, and the polishing was done expertly, without obliterating the lettering. The die polishing lines between the buffalo's read legs are plainly visible, where the remnants of "LIB" from LIBERTY were removed. Interestingly, the buffalo's head was not as well polished, and the "spike" from the second feather is plainly visible.
Wear is even. No distracting contact marks hurt the eye appeal. The obverse has normal EF wear on the hair, cheek, knot, braid, ribbon, and long feathers. The reverse has a weak but full horn and tail, about half the hair on the buffalo's head and upper back, and normal EF wear on FIVE CENTS. The eye is sharp, the beard has some detail, and the front shoulder, flank, and hindquarter have normal wear.
Solid EF-40 with nice eye appeal.
