Personally I don't see any need for regrading, or the costs.

As far as I know, no one has disputed the accuracy of their grading...just the wait times for submissions. They are out of business now but I'm keeping all my PCGS graded notes just as they are. The notes are protected, the notes are authenticated, the notes are identified and there's a 98% chance that they're accurately graded.

It depends on what you mean by worth it.

If you're looking for an increase in value, then probably not.

If you're looking for a grading guarantee from a company that is still in business, then yes.

If you're looking to participate in an active registry set, then also yes.

PCGS - the real PCGS - will be starting up US Currency grading Q1 2020. You might hold out looking for some kinds of deals if they want to thin the herd of the old licensee's notes...
