Hi,
I'm Mitch. I just joined today.
Very happy to have found this forum.
I was reading through the forum posts a bit.
I have a starting question.
I purchased $1 and $2 US Star notes at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing when I was a teenager, in the 1980s sometime.
They are 16 sheets of each note.
The $1 notes are 1981 Series With Donald T Reagan's signature as the Treasury Secretary, Series C 3 from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
The $2 notes are Series 1976 With William E Simon's signature. Series H 8. Bank of Kansas City.
The notes are still in the original packaging from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and I've never touched them.
The only flaw might be is that I did not have the front of the notes covered, and they might be a little dusty or worn from years of just sitting in the closet. I can clean that up.
My question is.
Are these notes feasible to sell? If so, how much would they be worth?
Thanks very much.

I should also mentioned one additional fact.
The $2 Series H notes, are "Star" notes, which I know from researching about bank notes through the years, can be worth more money due to the "irregularity" in the notes.
Thanks again. Hope for a reply soon.

Quote: They are 16 sheets of each note. I'm not sure if you have 16 sheets, or if you meant 16 notes per sheet. Are they rolled up in cardboard tubes or framed flat on a cardboard frame ? We need photos for accurate appraisals.

Thanks guys. Thanks for all the welcomes Just to be more clear. They are $1, and $2 notes, one. sheet each , of 16 notes. My phone is acting up. I'll get someone to take pictures. I saw on ebay that some people are selling the $2 16 uncut sheets for hundreds of dollars, but maybe that is just them. I'm also kicking myself. Little did I know. I guess it does not matter now. Years, ago, my late grandfather, had given me several 1922 and 1923 Peace dollars. I was a child at the time, and I guess somehow they must have gotten lost when I moved or something. I was just looking on ebay, and they said a Peace dollar can be worth as much as $1200! I don't think the ones I had were mint condition or anything, but even so.

@MitchC, any 1922 or 23 Peace dollar with the slightest of circulation is only worth a bit more than melt. One in high mint state could sell for $1200 depending on the mint. I would say it is highly likely those dollars had some circulation. Even so, too bad they disappeared since they came from your grandfather.

We will need pics. Are they star notes? What condition are they in? Are the D.C. notes? John1

I'm not positive, but from what I can gather, the OP has one (1) 16-subject series 1981 or 1981A Philadelphia District ( C) $1 sheet, and one (1) 16-subject series 1976 St. Louis District (H*) $2 replacement sheet. Both printed in Washington DC. Serial numbers, photographs, how they're displayed and condition has not been revealed.
