I am just getting interested in coins and this is my first exciting find. . . . . I know less than nothing about coins or collecting so I ask you for all opinions / observations / facts and/or information.... And without further ado, I present to you my very first error coin:

It looks like you have a Dryer Coin. It didn't leave the mint like this. It spent some time inside the drum of a dryer (or something that tumbled it around.) It's not an error, just damaged. Only worth 50¢.

to CCF. What does the edge look like? It does look like a Dryer Coin to me as well.
