Hello jungliston1,

Post

And when you do, keep this post in mind:http://goccf.com/t/5450

EDIT: Another thing to keep in mind are TOPIC TITLES

The title of your topic is very important. This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

Topic titles must be at least 20 characters in length. Please don't think it's appropriate to just add random characters or words irrelevant to the the to "fill in" so the topic goes through. It's not and the topic will likely be removed.

Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan dollar....

Bad: Need help with coin

Better: Need help with Morgan dollar

Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan dollar

Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan dollar

Flat field doubling is random. It happens because proof coin are struck twice. Happens randomly. But I'm not seeing flat field doubling your your coin:

No premium for these. Just another form of Machine Doubling.

i like the die crack that almost goes across the entire coin edge! that die was so close to breaking off! i'd like to see the coin it would produce after the die break fell off! nice find!

Coop, this might be the only time, I disagree with you. Based on your pics(3rd Photo) and this Write Up, this is Flat Field Doubling.

Well with the arrows, now I can see it. But to the right of the jacket is also a line of FFD there and also on the upper rim there is. It just didn't stand out like my example. Yours is just a bit more minor.
