The date is on the pillar side, the lowest of the three lines of script. Looks like 7 0 0 or 7 0 9, for a coin of early 1700s, consistent with Philip V. The rendering of the lions and castles between the crosses does not look like that on an authentic coin, but others out here have a lot more experience with discerning authenticity of these types.

@ Tdz.... You are right on point man! Wow! I looked at some listings on that gold excuse and it's pretty much a perfect match! I guess this is either just a souvenir coin or was an old counterfeit and the gold wore off! And your reply on my other thread, yup it's a Para, definately not a Kurush! Thanks again,a

Yeah so not only does it closely resemble the Lima Peru Minted 1709 2 Escudo I verified it being Pre 1900 90% Silver on my Sigma! I wonder if maybe it was a piece of old jewelry?

@jlb1uv... I got it local to me while purchasing some Morgans and Peace dollars. The guy said he had some "Pirate Ship" coins! Lol! I bought the 3 that he had not knowing what they were! 1 was a fake 1817 Saint Martin 1/6 cut 16 Stuivers this coin here in this post and another small 2 Para from Turkey (authentic). Only conclusion I've came to with this is its 90% silver and its looks almost identical to a gold Peruvian 2 escudos! Lol! Except its silver! I think it might just be a cast piece.

I think that this one is fake as well.
Evidence of casting bubbles in between the design details. Most probably has a 'greasy' feel to it. Edge join finning has been hammered flat.
I have lots of fake ancient silver coins with the same general appearance, as a result of their method of manufacture.
