I'v got a couple of questions on these coins. I'll have more later. I'm starting out with these... Any help is appreciated!

Coin 1- faint die clash... is this just my imagination? coin wear diffused it. 1972d

coin 2- possible die crack, lamination, or file shaving material? 1961d

Coin 3- obverse is dipped/wavy. Can't provide 3-d picture. coin still flat, not bowled. 1974

Answering these questions will help me get a clearer picture of what I'm looking at. got some similar coins besides these, thanks!

@hip, first welcome to CCF. Second, while it is best to open up a separate thread for each coin, this is fine for now.

For the '72-D with the potential die clash, sorry but I can't see this with your current pic. I recommend comparing your coin with others known to be clashed to see if yours looks similar.

For the '61-D, there may be a slight lam that spans the rev. I have tried to enlarge and enhance this area, but a better pic could help to confirm.

For the '72-P that has a wavy obv field, for sure that is damaged that occurred after the coin was struck.

Yes, the first coin is hard to capture. in normal light, I can see what appears to be three faint columns evenly spaced, but it could just be a wavy surface or planchet surface issues. the wear on the coin has made it impossible to tell what it might be for certain. sorry about the photos, I've only got an iPhone at the moment. best I could do.
the second looks like a very thin metal tape strip that runs across the coin. wish it wasn't so circulated.
for the third coin, I suspect the this was die wear just like the trench indentations you see that circle the inner rim of coins, but this wear applies to the un-etched surface of the die. just trying to confirm my suspicions.
I don't want to keep every error or damaged coin I run across. Just the ones that have some value. I've got them piled all over the desk right now, I need space of more! best way to clear out some of them is to ID the ones that don't really matter and put them back in circulation.

Late to the party here... but your third picture shows a 1974.
I am sure it was a 1972 earlier as people have commented on it.
One thing quirky about posting pictures is you must name EACH picture differently or else it will just override uploads of past postings.

Nice pictures and good luck coin roll hunting!!
