Canadian Coin Roll Hunters What Do You Do With US Coins You Find.

ckrakowski Pillar of the Community 979 Posts	Posted 07/24/2019 12:44 am I figure you guys find a few US coins among your rolls just as we find Canadian coins in our rolls. What do you do with them. Can you spend them or are you like us and they have no value here nor can be spent nor will banks accept them. Report this Post to the Staff

The others do not, although the 1 cent coins can be mixed in if anyone is depositing rolls of these obsolete coins at a bank. Many people just save the coins for their next trip to the US. ace_ftw Pillar of the Community Canada 1747 Posts	Posted 07/24/2019 10:20 am Pulling out the US coinage is what keeps my side hustle going. I pull hundreds of dollars of US quarters and dimes out every week, cross the border and exchange for bills. Then I have at par US$ which I can buy cheap gas, cheap groceries, or take back to Canada and make the 30+ points on exchange. of course I live less than 20 minutes from the border so its not a big trek for me. beachnut Valued Member United States 261 Posts	Posted 08/25/2019 12:34 pm Two weeks ago a friend of mine took rolls of Canadian coins to his bank. The teller noticed they were Canadian and told him he had to pay the exchange rate. He'll never do that again. Report this Post to the Staff
