I thought this was odd. Finding a penny with a die crack is far and few between, well to me it is. What I found was kinda odd. Both of these pennies were in separate rolls. I guess better that that, first two rolls of the box of 2015. There could be more.

Nice find! You have a what we call a "Spike Head" Die Crack. Also have a Retained Interior Die Break going on the head as well. If I were you, I'd go through more rolls to see if it progressed more.

I'm pretty certain its a die crack, probably from the same die. You are right, there are probably more. You might have the progressive strikes too. You never know! Nice find! It would be sweet to have them all in a row!

How many would be done before die change. Kinda like serial numbers on paper money.

To be honest, yes, you're definitely onto something! I would keep going through those rolls to see how bad and long the Die Crack will get.

Thank You for the observation. If things happen at the mint the way I have been reading. The computer might have caught the error and shut down. KEEP LOOKING BACK FOR UPDATE.

For those of you who have been following the journey looking through this box. Number 4 has been found. Looks like this is the shortest crack so far.
