I just don't know if it is a S/S or a S/? Just looks funny to me. Thoughts? As you can see in the S Mint mark there is something interesting going on here... Thanks for your help! coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/26/2019 3:45 pm We are seeing the mini step on the left side of your coin. Check on other devices in that area and see if the same thing is going on with other devices in that area. Machine Doubling often creates a directional movement on a coin. So often the devices will be altered the same on that side of opposite direction on the other side. Just depends on how much play the machine has during that strike/strikes. I've seen them vary from strike to strike: These were found in an OBW roll for that year. They show the same die markers, because they were struck by the same dies. But not the Machine Doubling is different on each one of them. Report this Post to the Staff
