1982 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ! Possibly A Doubled Die Reverse / DDR ?

The devices are tapered to the top of the devices, so when wear happens it removes part of the height of a coin. Thus leaving lines like what you are seeing on the tops of the devices. Keep in mind the devices that year were larger on the obverse. Thus the large ans small dates. The dates are not the only areas affected by large and small, all the devices on the obverse are affected one way or the other. Report this Post to the Staff
