I was in PA this week for work and decided to take a day to tour around Philadelphia. Of course I had to visit the mint. A co-worker said it would take me 20 min to get through it. I ended up spending almost 1.5 hours including gift shop time haha.

I thought it was quite informative and interesting to be able to look down on the floor as the coins were being produced. I didn't realize it was the fourth mint building in Philly. Unfortunately no pictures allowed inside.

The gift shop had a lot of overpriced items but I did pick up an uncirculated set of P&D including the W cent. I also bought a roll of quarters for FV. They didn't have rolls of any other circulating denominations.

Interesting and sounds like you had a good time.
Bummer about no photos though!

Glad you had a great time. I went to BEP in D.C. this summer. Yes, they were very strict about the no photo rule.

I've lived in Philadelphia for 16 years and never been in the mint. Dam I wish I did.
