I'm not a serious coin collector but I do keep 50ps I find in my change with interesting designs like the Beatrix potter collection, London olympics and so on.
Recently I found the Issac Newton 50p which again I kept. While looking at it a little closer I noticed a weird orange stripe across the back at an angle but exactly going through the middle and perfectly fired and straight.
I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on how it got there? Just interested if it's maybe a defect of some sort.
Thanks
