Just want to check with others if I am seeing things, or if there is actually something here.

I was zoomed out on my microscope when I saw a hint of "D" about the primary "D". I have tried to capture the "ghost D" with various lighting and I have marked the area in question.

Expert eyes and opinions are most welcome.

Looks a lot more like an upside down U than a D to me.

It would be raised if it were a RPM. Just looks like surface disturbance on the die. Note on your third image; you can see die flow lines over that area. So it is not a RPM. If it were, then there would be lines from where it was raised on that area. I see just normal flow lines with no distortion on that area. Just your eyes playing tricks on you.

You need your 'Nessie" glasses to see it. Just a discoloration on that area of the coin.

Thanks, everyone! I'll stop going cross-eyed on this one.
